Downed Wires Cause Partial Closure Of Major Pittsburgh Highway

The afternoon rush hour could be nightmarish for many Pittsburgh motorists as downed wires have closed a section of a major road. The outbound Parkway East lanes are closed due to downed wires, causing a partial closure between the North 791 Penn Hills (Exit 81) and South 48 Monroeville (Exit 84A) interchanges. PennDOT is detouring traffic onto Business Route 22 into Wilkins and Monroevaille. It is unclear how long the lanes will remain closed.
