Pittsburgh begins red-light enforcement at major Squirrel Hill intersection Pittsburgh's Department of Mobility and Infrastructure (DOMI) has begun its Automated Red Light Enforcement program, targeting intersections with high rates of crashes caused by red-light runners. Starting Monday, drivers who run red lights at the intersection of Browns Hill Road and Parkview Boulevard in Squirrel Hill will receive a warning and a $100 fine. The program is part of the city's Vision Zero initiative, which aims to eliminate traffic fatalities and includes traffic calming measures on several roads. The new cameras do not use facial recognition software and preserve recordings of two seconds before, during, and two seconds after red-lighting violations.
