Masked teens rob, assault couple in Point State Park
A 16-year-old is facing numerous charges after officers said he robbed and assaulted a young couple walking around downtown Pittsburgh on Sunday at gunpoint. Javal West-Gray, a 16-year-old boy, is facing numerous charges for robbing and assaulting a young couple at gunpoint in downtown Pittsburgh. The robbery occurred outside Point State Park. The victims told police that West-Grey and two other teens demanded their shoes, a hoodie and a necklace before West- Gray used his gun to beat the man. Police found the teenagers 11 minutes after the call, and West-gray was arrested and kicked multiple officers as he was being put into the back of the cruiser. Two of the teens were released with a summons for harassment. Legal expert Phil DiLucente believes the decision to let the other two teenagers involved go is another example of juveniles getting off easy in Allegheny County's justice system.
