NFL Fans Bash American National Anthem Ceremony in Paris Before Steelers-Saints Game
NFL's first-ever matchup in Paris drew backlash as the national anthem ceremony sparked heated debate among fans online. NFL fans have criticized the American National Anthem Ceremony in Paris before a Pittsburgh Steelers-New Orleans Saints game. The ceremony, which included a unique interpretation of the Star-Spangled Banner, divided viewers and led to negative reactions online. The eight-piece New Orleans brass ensemble delivered an upbeat jazz-style instrumental version of the song at Stade de France, which was seen as a departure from the traditional rendition. Some viewers complained about the sound and presentation of the performance, others suggested it was disrespectful to the national anthem. This incident follows a similar controversy in September when the Dallas Cowboys played against the Baltimore Ravens at the Maracanã Stadium in Brazil. The focus will now shift to the game, with Pittsburgh looking to maintain its winning streak and the Saints seeking consistency.
