Pittsburgh-Area Woman Sentenced For Killing Adoptive Son
A pediatric child abuse expert classified the child's abuse as child torture and medical neglect. Westmoreland County District Attorney Nicole W. Ziccarelli has sentenced Lauren Maloberti, 37, to 31.5 to 63 years in prison for the murder of her adoptive son, Landon Malobertti, 5, in May. She was convicted in May of third-degree murder, aggravated assault, endangering the welfare of children, and conspiracy. Malobertti and Jacob Malobertic were arrested in July of 2023 and charged with criminal homicide in the death of Landon.
