Today will mark 10 straight days without rain for the Pittsburgh area
The weather forecast for Halloween isn't looking very scary. Today marks the 10th consecutive day in Pittsburgh without measurable rain, marking the longest stretch of the year so far. This month will be the sunniest month in Pittsburgh in years, according to National Weather Service data. The National Weather Services has a tool called a "Ceilometer" that measures the amount of cloud cover each day. During this stretch, we have recorded sunny or clear skies each day, marking by far the longest period in the last 4 years. The weather is expected to be warmer than expected for the final days of the month, and 1.18" ahead of the normal rain pace for the month due to a wet start.
