The department found rodent droppings throughout the restaurant, including on top of the dishwashing machine, drain boards around the dishwasher, and in the basins of three sinks. They also found chew marks and nesting material near the restaurant's office. The restaurant has been ordered to clean the area and sanitize it.

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) - A popular breakfast spot in the South Side Works has been hit with a consumer alert from the Allegheny County Health Department.

According to the health department, Waffles INCaffenated was found to have rodent droppings throughout the restaurant.

They were found on top of the dishwashing machine, on drain boards around the dishwasher, and in the basins of three sinks.

Inspectors also found droppings on shelves in the kitchen near utensils and cutting boards.

Finally, they found chew marks were seen along with nesting material near the office in the back of the restaurant's kitchen.

As a result, the restaurant has been told to wash the area and sanitize it as well.
